Project Description

Upala provides a digital identity uniqueness score. The score is valued in dollars and represents the explosion price - an amount of money that an identity holder can get at any time for deleting their ID. The higher the explosion price the higher the owner values the ID and the safer it is for DApps to interact with.

How it's Made

Upala consists of 5 major parts:

  • The protocol (Upala). A set of smart-contracts that provide main functionality. Basically is a ledger that keeps track of users, groups and scores and provides scoring/exploding functionality.

  • User side (Multipassport). Lets users interact with the protocol, manage groups membership, track scores, explode if they want to break bad.

  • DApp side (App). Node.js and solidity libraries to let DApps provide authorization interface to users.

  • Group management side (Group). Entry tests are smart contracts that assign scores to users based on a condition. E.g. the first entry tests may use MolochDAO, MetaCartel, Gitcoin membership as an entry condition.Group management interface lets manage an Upala group - approve entry tests and set scores. Groups may have very different entry logic, so as the interfaces. However generalized UI is possible. We are gonna start with BladerunnerDAO and see how far it can go with its generalized interface.

  • Decentralized storage (DB). Cache for user paths
