Livepeer enables the land owners of the Metaverse (e.g. Decentraland, Cryptovoxels, Somnium Space) to show off their property when listing it for sale; increasing the visibility of their parcel(s) and (hopefully) enabling them to close for more. This solves "the picture problem" of NFT real estate, i.e. land listed for sale on OpenSea has no images of the actual land. (coming soon) Streams will be displayed on WeMeta, the premier platform for digital real estate.

How it's made

Landpeer was built as a chrome extension to be able to record and stream videos of parcels in the metaverse. The stack we used to build the extension were Reactjs, css, html, js, and json. We used Livepeer's API to be able to create and pull streams from the Livepeer network. The benefit of this is to be able to stream video from a decentralized network. We used css to style each component using styled-components and icons for micro tasks such as copying to clipboard and dragging the extension.
