ArtisanDAO aims to build a curated museum of indigenous art forms, connecting patrons with artisans through NFTs in the real world and in the Metaverse.
ArtisanDAO is a Web3 protocol made exclusively for indigenous artists to promote and sell their art in the form of NFTs. Every NFT will come with curated documentation of the artist, their art heritage, their contact details through which patrons can get in touch with the artist. The web3 native community formed around the DAO will get exclusive benefits from owning the NFTs leading to them becoming evangelists and marketers for the indigenous artisans, promoting their century-old art form across the world. Being a patron at ArtisanDAO and owning an ArtisanDAO marketplace NFT will add social capital to the work of local artisans Once the protocol is active in one country, it can be easily replicated across other countries as the DAO is an open-source protocol, with permissionless governance built in.
How it's made
1. Research on major Indian indigenous artforms and communities. 2. Ideation on the utility roadmap of the NFT and building a DAO ecosystem to support the project. 3. Minting of demo NFTs of researched artforms at Opensea, using the Polygon chain.
