We believe that in the future our digital identity will consist of token assets stored in web3 accounts. In this future we will need to provide a “proof of skill” in our assets to fluently cooperate with others. Our educational certificate NFTs store their data based on one of the most recognized certification standards. The Open Badges standard by the IMS. We allow the recipients of the certificates to encrypt their certificate data and only show the data to whom they choose. Our contracts store a hash of the meta data to be sure the metadata that is displayed is the same as the data stored.

We used React via the nextjs framework for the frontend implementation. Our application doesn’t have a backend infrastructure everything is done on the frontend side. We used Web3Modal a react library to help us manage and access wallet providers.

With the use of Ethers.js, we managed to connect to our NFT contract written in Solidity and deployed on the Polygon Mumbai network. We also used Moralis to fetch ENS and NFT details.

The metadata of our NFTs are being stored on IPFS
